A little about myself..
I grew up in Colombia/Southamerica, a Spanish speaking country. At the age of 9 I became interested in learning languages, and thanks to the support of my family and school I began my process as an EFL student.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages from Pontificia Javeriana University in English and French, a Spanish Teaching Diploma, and a Master’s of Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (MTESOL) from Deakin University in Australia.
I have worked as an English Teacher for all levels from A1 up to C1 (CEFR) for more than 10 years. My areas of expertise are English Teaching, IELTS and TOEFL training, and International Phonetic Alphabet Instruction. I have experience in Managing Learning Organizations, teaching all levels of English and the use of online platforms such as cambridgelms, top notch interactive, ecollege, voxopop, youtube and other types of technology for teaching.
I have taught English as a second language in Colombia and Australia.I have had students from all the regions of the world and I have learnt about their cultures, their beliefs and expectations. I love to design challenging and interactive classes and excursions in which students take advantage of their time and experience in a foreign country. Given my experience with languages, I know what it takes to master a language and I understand the process students go through in order to succeed academically and socially, the latter considering immigration and higher education purposes.
I am passionate about teaching and I love sharing my knowledge and experience as a learner and a teacher of English in order to facilitate and promote the use of this wonderful language.
